The clock is ticking and time is running out for clubs to get deals done in the January transfer window.

Newcastle have made their third signing of the month after clinching a £30m deal for Bruno Guimaraes, talkSPORT understands, while the Magpies have also had a second offer turned down for Dan Burn.

Everton’s search for a new manager has taken a few unexpected twists and turns but now look set to appoint Frank Lampard. talkSPORT understands the Toffees want to have their new manager in place before Monday’s transfer deadline and Lampard is the leading candidate after Friday’s final round of interviews.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace look set to finalise a loan move for Donny Van de Beek, while Liverpool are poised to sign Luis Diaz from Porto..

Tottenham’s bid to bring Adama Traore looks to have ended in failure, meanwhile, with Barcelona closing in on a deal to bring the Wolves ace back to the Nou Camp.

And there’s news from the red side of north London, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reported wanted by two giants of European football – Barcelona and Juventus, while Paul Pogba could be open to staying at Old Trafford if Ralf Rangnick remains in charge.
